God Wants You To Become Truly Rich

God Wants You To Become Truly Rich by Bo Sanchez

Summary

“Let the Lord be magnified who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. “ Psalms 35:27.

The Lord is definitely super happy when you become prosperous and rich. The problem is that most of the people in the world, Christians included, think that being rich is evil and poverty is holy and pleasing in the eyes of God. But this isn't so; the verse above is just one proof of that.

There are three kinds of rich people in the world, and they are differentiated by their attitudes and belief towards money and wealth.

The first one is the Filthy Rich. The Filthy Rich are the people who will do anything, and I mean anything, to get what they want, which is more, more and lots more. They don’t mind stepping on other people just to have more. This is what you probably have in mind when someone talks to you about rich people.

The Filthy Rich people are not happy, no matter how much they have and get and steal, because money is a great magnifying glass. Money magnifies what you are and have inside of you. If you are unhappy, or selfish, or greedy, or lonely, money will only serve to magnify these in your life. And the more money you have, the more unhappy, selfish, etc. you will become.

But, if you are happy, healthy, holy and loving inside, money will also magnify these for you. Truly, money cannot buy happiness, especially if you were never happy to begin with.

According to the survey that determined who the unhappiest people in the world are, guess who won? Singaporeans. Singapore is one of the richest country in Asia, it is a First-World country yet the people there are the most unhappy people in the world.

The second kind of rich people are the Guilty Rich. They are Christians and other religious people and good people who think that money is evil and being rich is evil. They were brought up by their parents to not talk about money, business, investments, profits, etc. because these and bad and evil words.

The Guilty Rich people are the ones who feel guilty and ashamed whenever they earn what they consider is a lot of money. They believe in their hearts and minds that they have become bad people just because they earn a lot.

The Guilty Rich would rather live in poverty, thinking that this is what God wants them to do. Because of this belief, they are unhappy, because of their negative attitude towards money and being wealthy.

The third and final kind of rich people are the so called Truly Rich. These are the people who truly understand what their wealth is really for.

It is true that money cannot buy you happiness. But God didn’t intend money to buy happiness. He intended money and wealth to increase helpfulness, and in the process, you will become happy. The purpose of wealth is to love your family and those around you.

God intended money to magnify the love and selflessness and helpfulness that you have inside of you, if you are Truly Rich. Indeed, it is your moral obligation to be wealthy and Truly Rich, because this is what God truly wants you to become. He wants to become Truly Rich and help others, those who cannot repay the favor and those who are desperately in need.
